Hello everyone!
I know this problem is exhaustive and has been covered in many discussions, it seems to me that I read and read a lot, but cannot find them. The answer to the problem is your own.
I have WHS installed and it works on my home network. Use your IP address and hostname.
My problem often is that when I try to connect to the server through the Software Connector, I get an “Unknown network error has occurred” message, so I can only go back or cancel. I have installed the software systems on a Vista Business laptop and it installs directly through the WHS public network.
I noticed thatthere is no icon in the connector software. When in doubt, an error message is displayed and displayed in the WHS console on the server of a specific computer. I cannot set up a backup of this PC. but from WHS site I cannot connect to PC because this task is “Connection Disconnected”.

I do not know how to solve this problem with the connection software, I changed the HOSTS file on the PC. I am trying to connect to a server and have made sure the server and computer are in the same workgroup. I made sure that the company’s site is running in IIS by default.
Does anyone know what might be preventing the connection software from setting up and finding the server?

I understand that this problem has been raised in many discussions, believe me, I read a lot, but did not find an answer to my problem.
I measured WHS and it is visible on this home network . I can access some WHS shares through a network browser and I can ping the server by specifying the IP resolution and hostname.
My problem is that when I try to connect to the server using the connection software, I get the message “An unknown network error has occurred” and my wife and I can only go back or exit. I installed the software on your Vista Business laptop and this thought was installed on the WHS public network.
I noticed that the connection software does show a different error message, the WHS console on the server shows the computer as a whole, I can set up a backup for that PC, but I’m not from the WHS Web site I can connect to the PC because that it says “Connection disconnected”
I don’t know how to try and solve this previous problem with plugin software. I edited the HOSTS file on the computer I’m trying to connect to the internet and made sure the server and the computer are in the same workgroup. I made sure that the websitet works in IIS by default.
Does anyone have instructions that might prevent the plugin software from completing the setup and finding the server?

When I had installed all the connectivity software and the computer reported it in the WHS console, I decided to go to Task Manager and complete the installation process.
I found that most PCs did indeed detect hosting and after reboot everything worked fine, the taskbar was full to provide me with network state resources, and a shortcut was created to link the desktop to the transferred shared folders.
Sorry, I don’t know what caused this problem, but there may be hardware issues and the installation will fail on the server (I got an error on the server when theI did the installation, but everything worked fine despite the nature of the error). One of these problems may be that there is a network card here on the server that is not recognized by Windows, which makes it difficult to complete the network part of the installation correctly during installation, which usually causes problems when connecting connectors.
I installed Power Pack 1 on all servers, and after that the new connectors worked fine, they were compatible with the Discover server almost without problems. However, I now have a server issue which I will post on a different thread.
